Medical B2B SEO Cold Start: 50 High-Quality Links and Content Updates
A medical B2B business actively supported on-site content updates alongside 50 high-quality links. This anonymous case study reviews the early SEO work and search performance recorded in GSC and Semrush.

01
Client Background and Starting Point
The client is a medical B2B business serving overseas markets. Its website presents the business and product information to prospective buyers. At the start, some pages were already appearing in search, while non-brand search coverage and external references needed further development.
The engagement began on 23 August 2026. The client actively supported on-site content updates, while external article topics were planned around priority category and product pages. Both workstreams addressed buyers’ search and information needs. Only the industry, approach and anonymous data are shared here.
02
Goals and Publishing Schedule
This round included 50 quality links, supported by English topic planning and page updates to build relevant external references. Content addressed practical questions from buyers researching products, comparing suppliers and preparing enquiries.
Publishing was organised in batches. The September plan set out a four-week schedule that mapped keywords, destination pages and topics to each batch, supporting progress tracking and coordination with the client’s website updates.
03
Coordinating On-Site and Off-Site Work
- Map search needs to pages: distinguish brand, product research and purchasing queries, then match article topics to suitable destination pages.
- Update website content together: the client added clearer descriptions and buying information to priority pages, helping them answer questions raised in external articles.
- Publish external English content in batches: cover product research, supplier selection and purchasing preparation, use relevant anchor text in context, and review search performance to guide later work.
04
Scope of This Round
This round delivered 50 quality links. The work also covered keyword and destination-page mapping, English article planning, anchor text and a performance review. The client supported the on-site updates, with both sides working around the same priority pages.
Resource selection used recorded third-party metrics such as DA30+, AS10+ and estimated monthly organic traffic of 1K+, alongside topic matching. Follow-up covered publishing pages, links and indexing observations, with corrections or replacements discussed when issues arose.

Observations and Next Steps
This phase combined improvements to website information with external content. Page quality, market demand and changes in search results can also affect performance. The available data do not isolate the effect of links or establish enquiry or revenue outcomes.
The next phase can review priority pages and non-brand queries, address unanswered buying questions, and use comparable GSC periods to assess content topics and destination pages.
